Paper Boat Drinks | A Product Review
I was approached last month by Paper Boat representative to review their range of drinks.
I was initially not keen on doing it as I had never heard of this brand earlier and I do not frequent the gourmet stores in Pune due to distance from my place.
But when I checked the Company Website, I was quite intrigued. It is a very captivating design. I later learned that their packaging has won ‘The Best Design Award 2013’.
Seriously the packaging of the product makes me want to open the pouch and drink.
Paper Boat pouches are made of a four-part laminate. The two outer layers are a blend of proprietary polypropylene and polyethylene. This makes the pack withstand extremes in pressure and heat while at the same time being easy to print upon. This is the one time you can actually judge something by its cover.
The penultimate layer is made of bonded aluminium. This is to keep any form of moisture and vapour entering the pack and tampering the goodness of the drink inside. Of course this layer makes no contact with the drink. That’s the job of the inner (and final) layer. This layer is made of virgin, food-grade polypropylene which keeps the content fresh, safe and tasty.
Design, hygiene and food safety all take care of! Kudos!!
I received four flavours – Kala Jamun, Aam ka Panna, Aamras and Jaljeera.
My kids devoured whole 250 ml pack of Aamras but didn’t care much for others. I personally loved their Kala Jamun. Jaljeera was a bit too sweet for my taste, I prefer Jaljeera to be more sour and spicy. But I do understand my taste may not work for everyone.
V loved all, as expected. :)
At 30 bucks for 250 ml, for me this is a good buy and pleases everyone. So I say go, get it and make your summer cool!
