I was presented with a great opportunity to a Great Italian Cook Off for hands on experience with Chef Giuseppe Lioce at Prego by Westin, Pune. It was an amazing experience and I got to learn so many nuances of authentic Italian cooking.
From the moment I got the invite, I knew I was going to attend it. A chance to learn from the original Italian Chef, no way I was going to miss that.
This experience was designed by FBAI and GourmetItUp and was an invite only event. I already have experienced amazing hospitality and experience extended by GourmetItUp with Hyatt Baan Tao and of Prego, Westin Pune earlier, so I was looking forward to it.
And I must say I came back with lot of learning and a confidence of making my own pasta from scratch at home. Whoa!! Watch this space for Eggless Pasta at home very soon.
We covered 6 signature dishes of Chef Lioce during the Masterclass including salads, mains and desserts.
Pear Salad with Gorgonzola Cheese and Rocket Leaves, Panzanella Salad (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions),
Maltagliati Pasta from scratch,
Calzoni di Nutella.
After making these dishes along with the chef, I tasted the creations accompanied by a glass of White Wine. Perfecto for me!
