Aloo Bread Pakori

Ingredients
2 | medium sized boiled potatoes |
1½ | slices of bread of your choice |
1½ | tablespoons of besan (gramflour) |
1-2 | green chilli |
¼ | teaspoon of red chilli powder |
¾ | teaspoon of coriander seeds |
1 | teaspoon of coriander powder |
¼ | teaspoon of turmeric powder |
1 | teaspoon of chopped coriander leaves |
1 | tablespoon of water |
salt to taste | |
a pinch of asafoetida | |
oil for frying |
Preparation
1. | Peel the potatoes. Cube the bread and potatoes into small squares. Heat oil in a wok for frying. |
2. | In a small bowl, add all the ingredients together and mix gently. Take care not to completely mash the potatoes and bread as the characteristic of this pakori is the small bite sized crunchy pieces. Deep fry them till nicely brown from all sides. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup and enjoy with a cuppa. |
