Lettuce Salad with Apple Cider Vinegar

Ingredients
3 | tablespoons of apple cider vinegar |
2 | tablespoons of olive oil |
1 | tablespoon of walnuts |
1 | tablespoon of chopped fresh basil |
¼ | teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper |
2-3 | leaves of iceberg lettuce, chopped coarsely |
¼ | cup of cherry tomatoes |
¼ | cup of steamed brocoli |
¼ | cup of sliced zucchini and yellow squash |
2 | tablespoons of cheese |
salt to taste |
Preparation
1. | Combine vinegar, olive oil, walnuts, basil, pepper and salt in a large bowl; stir well with a whisk. Add remaining ingredients; toss gently to coat. Serve chilled. |
Notes
The salad is very forgiving and you can substitute or add any thing as per your taste or preference.
I used apple cider vinegar as it was in the pantry, else balsamic vinegar will go very well with it.
