Ginger Ale is a summer soother drink made from ginger syrup in water or soda. The consumption of ginger in a summer drink is good for the digestive system and helps us stay cool at the same time.
We need to stay hydrated in the summers, so we need different flavors to make it interesting. Many other recipes to fight the summer heat can be found like, Iced Coffee | Greek Frappé, Lassi and Bael Ka Sharbat (Woodapple Sherbet).
My mom has taught us to be frugal in life especially in kitchen. So for me it is unthinkable to waste anything.
After making Candied Ginger, I was left with quite a bit of Ginger Syrup, which I was very reluctant to discard.
So I Googled & came across a Ginger Ale recipe using candied Ginger syrup. Voila!
I was ready to roll!
I stuck to the recipe except the reduce the amount of syrup.
There are other variations given using ginger syrup to make ginger lemonade, sparkling ginger lemonade, bourbon & ginger. WOW!
V loved it. It was so refreshing and a wonderful after-dinner or middle-of-the-day drink for me. Absolutely must for me, every time I am going to make candied ginger!
