Hot Chocolate is a chocolate rich drink that can be prepared in a jiffy with the ingredients mentioned here. For those chilly evenings when one craves something that soothes us, hot chocolate is answer. This recipe when chilled tastes as good as it does when hot, making it all season option.

I was introduced to Hot Chocolate as early as pre-teens, thanks to the all the classic novels I read. A typical line would read,

It is no wonder that I have been wanting to make this divine and comforting hot chocolate at home for the longest time.

And my wish came true this week when I in my usual attempt to use up leftovers had perfect ingredients for a hot chocolate.

There was Chocolate Syrup I had made and some Coffee Whipped Cream leftover from the Celebration Coffee Mocha Cake I made for our Anniversary.

I didn’t have the right mug to drink or shoot a hot chocolate but I guess the flowers made up for the mood.

Absolutely loved the drink – Thumbs Up by my daughter, V and me.

It was rich, creamy, chocolatey and comforting as it should be. All I needed was a Duke. ;)

I even served it chilled to V when he came back from office and he also loved it. I can confidently say that this Hot Chocolate is perfect as Chilled Hot Chocolate too. :D

  • Pour Chocolate Syrup in a mug. If you are making in smaller cup like me, then reduce the syrup to 2 tbsp.
  • Add whipped cream to the mug. Mix the syrup and cream well.
  • Pour hot milk over the mixture. Use as much or as little milk you desire. Serve hot.

Notes

You can make it Chilled Chocolate by adding Cold milk in place of hot milk.
