Ever since quitting coffee few weeks ago, I have been looking for a warming up drink especially during winter months.
I settled on drinking hot chocolate to warm me up.
Last time when I made hot chocolate I used whipped cream which was available then but it is not an ingredient that I keep always.
So I decided to adapt the same recipe without the whipped cream.
The result is rich, hot chocolate perfect for cozying me up.
- ⅓ cup chocolate syrup
- 2 cup milk
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- pinch cinnamon powder
- Heat milk. Add chocolate syrup, vanilla and cinnamon. Stirring constantly. Heat to serving temp. Do not boil.
- Serve topped with vanilla ice-cream and cocoa powder or plain.
- After heating, you can refrigerate this mixture to serve when the mood strikes. It will stay for 3-4 days.
- Adjust milk and chocolate syrup as per your taste. You can even add sugar if its not sweet enough for you.
Yummy :) A few more pics could have been added
